Barney

Barack Obama's victory is a history. Even I also hope that he will bring change, not only to the States but the whole world. If change like him can happen there, perhaps many other nations can, or should. =)

For the whole day, the whole list of 'most viewed' news of CNN is telling the world his story. Oh, even his daughters' new puppy is up, after President Bush's dog, Barney. lol. I thought of the purple dinosaur again. And this leads me to remember a short game session from MIX.fm yesterday:

A : er.. BARNEY!!

Well, personally I like Barack Obama's acceptance speech at Chicago, Illinois. =)

I think about all that she's seen throughout her century in America -- the heartache and the hope; the struggle and the progress; the times we were told that we can't, and the people who pressed on with that American creed: Yes we can.

At a time when women's voices were silenced and their hopes dismissed, she lived to see them stand up and speak out and reach for the ballot. Yes we can.

When there was despair in the dust bowl and depression across the land, she saw a nation conquer fear itself with a New Deal, new jobs, a new sense of common purpose. Yes we can.

When the bombs fell on our harbor and tyranny threatened the world, she was there to witness a generation rise to greatness and a democracy was saved. Yes we can.

She was there for the buses in Montgomery, the hoses in Birmingham, a bridge in Selma, and a preacher from Atlanta who told a people that "We Shall Overcome." Yes we can.

People, instead of keep waiting, Hong Kong, Thailand ans Singapore have tested and announced some biscuits of brands Julie's and Munchy's contain excessive amount of melamine before Malaysia does. Well, I went to Jusco today, the other 2 brand's crackers and biscuits called Khong Guan and _____ (forgot) have been cleared from shelf, but then Julie's and Munchy's are still there. If you want to WAIT.. go on. So.. I don't need to continue with my 'so' already right? =) I won't stop you if you want to buy.. :P

I am still living with sore throat and sexy husky voice. =I

I - found - a - job!! Well, I remembered someone told me to treasure this holiday as when sem2 starts, we will really miss this. Worry not, my job will need me only for 3 days per week. Okay right? I don't want to decay at home. :P Therefore, from tomorrow onwards, Friday Saturday Sunday, I will be working for Celcom!! (I am still a Maxis user.. maybe i have to be supporters of both already =.=)

It is good that i'm alive awake for CNN Live this morning, after a day of sickness struggle.

But i did find out something: my way to recover from fever. For the whole yesterday:

7 a.m. : wake up -- a bowl of mixed beverage -- an apple -- a tablespoon of porridge =.=

8 a.m. : still feeling okay. walk here walk there..

9 a.m. : not okay at all already.

9.30 a.m. : sleep.

10.15 a.m. : wake up, drink water. went out with mom to get breakfast for others

11.30 a.m. : back. sleep with a wet towel to please my burning head.

1.30 p.m. : wake up, drink water. eat a bun -- an apple. sleep

3.00 p.m. : wake up, drink water. walk around - giddy

3.30 p.m. : sleep.

5.30 p.m. : headache. wake up, drink water. sleep.

6.30 p.m. : wake up, drink water. have a kiwi fruit. walk - still giddy - sleep.

7.45 p.m. : shocked. so late already. eat small cute bowl of porridge.

8.xx p.m. : wash face. sleep with tissue. almost throw up all the porridge. =.=

THIS MORNING - 6.45 a.m. : alive awake. no more fever. still with tissue. =)

so after all, i don't know how many hours i have spent to sleep yesterday but.. it feels good. hee~

Oh, see. CNN's website is under responsible of an Indian, now i understand what Thomas Friedman said in his book. Well, India really has a lot of talents.

Technology used by the States is awesome. Somehow i will feel excited seeing them with new stuff (maybe because we might need to wait 5 years to see the same thing appear in Malaysia.. =.=). CNN is using a new tech that can project a whole person to another location with the person's voice. It looks just like those in cartoons in which a person can appear in 2 places at a time.

Flu Bug

First and foremost, i want to thank my dad for spreading the virus around the house, and cause me ha-chiuing with him. Blame myself having an immune system with such susceptibility.

Secondly, i want to thank my mom for asking me to pack those new year cookies and seal them up. Because i couldn't stop myself walking to and fro dealing with tissues and washing my hand. I do not want any aunty uncle get the virus and waste tissue with me, save the trees~ hehe.

Thirdly, i have just eaten an orange, thinking that it could supply me more Vitamin C to defeat the virus. Anyhow.. it this too late? =.= Who cares. I can't go driving with a box of tissue, can I?

Fourthly, i dislike fever. Because this is Malaysia. It is hot enough..

I think my condition has advanced to a level worse than my dad's. Having sore throat and cough as well, i am delirious. Uh, how many times i have sneezed today? Lost the count. =.= It has been so involuntary that I feel like make myself faint and unconscious. Then i will not have to feel this tissue feeling. I finished reading Louisa's Howl's Moving Castle today. Funny, I can see myself as the Howl when he is having cold. = ='''

There are so much to be completed. I made myself a holiday calendar and shopping list and people list (this one is to arrange who i should and want to meet during this holiday. :D) I hope it is possible for me to have a trip!! *please*

I think my brain is on fire now. Maybe this sickness will make me smarter? XD Alright this is just crapping..

I am appearing offline these days. Hee~

These 2 days were quite ok~ well, since i can sleep AT LEAST 8 hours a day. No more headaching, no more 'who is this?' while looking into the mirror. :D

But..~!! Still with lots of tidying and cleaning. Yesterday another kakak came and helped, well only after 36 hours (I abandoned them for 1 day actually.. tahahhaaa!!) , i am done de-packing all my stuff. :)

Yesterday night was so hot despite the rain. People, drink more H2O to avoid getting sick~ My dad got cold since Friday and has been sneezing for more than 25 times a day. Now? My turn. But i am in a better condition of course, as in i wasted less tissue. Hehee. But.. i guess i am getting as bad. =_=

I had steamed potatoes for dinner last night. And this morning, i guess my mom wants to get those potatoes she bought out of sight, so i have another plate of steamed potatoes.. =.= If later i get potato for lunch and dinner.. I will.. I will not befriend potato anymore!! =.=''

Ah.

When people are having holiday at some spectacular scenery places, i have it here. =.= This is a place I'd like to stand at for some staring-at-nothing moments. But, this is a great place if it's raining. (with thunderstorm and lightning!! I like both!!! :D)

Second day of holiday : Ah Meng - the one who teaches me driving before sms-ed me. My mom called him and.. ok, coming weekend i have 6 hours of driving follows by driving exam on Monday. AH. O.o Yep, it is an 'Ah.' one with staccato rhythm, not 'Ahhh', one short AH is enough to express my kelam-kabut-ing feeling.

And by telling people that i only want a job for a month.. I can't find a job! Yorr.. This holiday will not be like a holiday, i know. =\ Tata, going to make a holiday calendar. =)
